Hero-1 Restoration and CNC Kit Assembly

After a solid weekend of work, the Heathkit Hero 1 robot drive system is operating remotely via XBee.  Fubar member Adam constructs the table for a MyDIYCNC kit. 

HERO-1 Robot Project: 1/2 a Locomotion System

 

With lots of help from FUBAR members George and Eric, we got the front drive wheel of our HERO-1 robot controlled from an Arduino.  Next up: getting a battery and power supply put together while Adam works on driving the stepper moter that steers the drive wheel.

Open Hack Night Generates CD-rom based line follower

We've got some nice laser cut line following robots, but what do you do when the laser is dead? Make a line follower out of cdrom, and some bits of wood. Thanks goes to Bill, Matt, and those at the Open Hack Night
